Courage Garage is a DIY motorcycle garage in Pero Pinheiro, Sintra. This page explains what we collect when you book a lift, sign in or use the booking app at courage-garage.com, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- When you connect Telegram: your Telegram user id, name and username.
- When you sign in with Google: your Google account id, name and email address. We ask Google for nothing else: no contacts, no files, no calendar.
- When you book as a guest: the Telegram username you give us and, if you add it, your name.
- Your bookings: date, time, length, price, add-ons, what you plan to work on, and a phone number when your session starts soon.
- Your bike profile, if you fill it in: make, model and year, and the details read from your registration document (matrícula) when you scan it: name, plate and VIN. The photo itself is not stored.
- Questions you ask the AI helper about your bike and its manual, and whether you marked an answer helpful.
- Achievements and discounts that come with your visits.
- At the garage screen: when your session starts, the screen in the garage shows your first name, your booking time and, if you added one, your bike. We record when you start and finish, extra time you add, what you buy there and, for brake pads, your confirmation that you fit them and check your brakes yourself.
Why
To hold and confirm your lift, to know who is coming and reach you about it, to apply the prices and discounts you are due, to find the right service manual for your bike, and to answer your questions about it. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Cookies
When you sign in we set one cookie, cg_session, that keeps you signed in (30 days, or 2 hours for a guest booking). While you sign in, a second short-lived cookie remembers which page to bring you back to. There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site. Signing out removes the session.
Your browser also keeps three small things on your device, never sent to us: the light or dark theme you picked, the time you chose while you sign in to book it, and whether you’ve signed in here and added a bike, so the menu shows “Your garage” instead of “Sign in”. Signing out clears that last one. These cookies and settings are needed for the site to work, so we don’t ask for consent. Fonts and scripts come from our own server, so opening the site sends nothing to Google or other third parties; the booking app loads Telegram’s script so it can run inside Telegram.
Who else sees it
- Telegram and Google confirm who you are when you sign in with them.
- Google Calendar holds our booking calendar, so your name, handle and phone number appear on your booking there.
- Google Gemini reads your registration document when you scan it and answers the questions you ask the AI helper. It also reads service manuals for oil and brake data; no personal data is involved in that.
- The garage team gets a message in our team Telegram chat about each new booking, and when you buy something or call for help at the garage screen.
How long we keep it
For as long as you use the garage. Ask us and we’ll delete your account, bike profile and questions. We keep bookings and payments only for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, take a copy of it, or have it deleted, and you can object to how we use it. Write to us on Telegram and we’ll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
